| I am getting my braces off in approximately 2 weeks!! Can't wait to see the results!
hahaha...I feel like a kid again!

| Last week I went down to SOCAL, and it was AWESOME! Why?
1) Getting a chance to catch up with Ariel(my former roommate from last year's China Summer Program) while driving down Hwy 101 S. for several hours to get to Santa Barbara. 2) Hanging out with Brian and Kristine while at Santa Barbara. 3) All 4 of us talking about/reminiscing our time in China while driving down Hwy. 101 S again to get to LA. 4) Met up with Jon and Chris and shopped around at the nearest IKEA store for a couple of hours, but ended up not buying anything! 5) Seeing one of our students from last year's China Summer program. It was so surreal to see him in California, but it was sooo good to see him! We welcomed him with gifts, foods, and big HUGS! 6) Hanging out with my brother and his friends at Torrance 7) Watching the movie, CARS with Brian, Kristine, and Ariel at Kristine's place 8) Hanging out with our Chinese student at Disneytown in Anaheim 9) Bought myself a man bag! The price was half off!! 10) Talking with Brian about Shane&Shane while driving back up to Santa Barbara. 11) Talking with Ariel about random topics while driving back up to San Jose. 12) Sleeping on my bed and getting a solid sleep after 3 days of nonstop driving.
China Team reunion at IKEA!
China Team with our Chinese friend
 Showing our victory!
 Goofing off At Disney Town!
After working for several months and experiencing reality, I've been wanting to get away and it was great that I was able to spend it in SoCal. Even though it was only 3 days and 2 nights and 20 hours of driving, it was still worth it! | | |
| This past month, I've tasted reality and it sucks! Why? because it's
complicated, it's frustrating, it's confusing, it's depressing, it's
stressful, and the list goes on. Reality Bites! Life is so darn hard! I thought I knew
what I was geting into, but once I experienced it, it's a whole
different story. Oftentimes, I tried to escape the cruelness of reality, but I have to ackowledged the fact that this is life and I need to accept it whether I like it or not. However, I can't help but to think, what would happen to my life if I wasn't a Christian??? My life would totally suck! I am very thankful that I am a Christian because my faith is in God, which means I dont have to worry a thing. He's the reason why I can get up in the morning each day and face reality once again. Life is definitely not a walk
in the park and I am bound to take a lot of hits, but I do know God is with me and that He will
walk with me every step of the way as long as I remain in Him. God wont
necessarily changed my circumstances,
but He will change the way I view my circumstances in a whole different
way.
I dunnoo, I just kind of wish life isn't so blah!

| I have returned from WCC and man it was AWESOME! The plenary
speaker ROCKED. The testimonies were GREAT, the workshops I attended
were MING BLOWING, and the people I've met just INSPIRED the heck out
of me. I am lost with words and I am not sure where or how to begin. As
days go by, I hope that I will digest everything I've learned and
express them into words.
for now, I will leave you with this.
All History is part of God's purpose. All History as we know it narrows down to Jesus Christ.
All History will flow from Jesus Christ.
*edit* It's been busy this past week, but here's the update! First of all, I am just so so
very thankful to God that He brought me to WCC. It was
definitely a time of healing and restoration in my heart. Furthermore,
it was also a time a of recognition and
affirmation because I came to a realization that our God is so in control not just in my life but all over the world.
Of course, I knew that before I attended the conference, but I lost
sight of that and regrettably, I began to lose hope. However, in one of
the session, Dr.
Thom Wolfe (our plenary speaker) made that very clear to us, and I mean
very clear that our God is in control. He didn't just provide biblical
evidence, but he provided historical evidence as well as some of his
personal stories. He pointed how Christianity is spreading and will
continue to spread all the way back to Jerusalem. I am not 100% sure about the order, but it goes something like this...Christianity started in Jerusalem, then to Europe,
America, Asia, and now it's spreading in India. Dr. Wolfe believes
India is at a historical turning point when the gospel is coming alive
and spread. He shared a time when he and his Indian friend lead 21 the
most influential leaders in India to Christ. These 21 leaders are
individuals who will make and shape the country of India. It was mind
blowing how the men after being led to Christ were disgusted by the
idols they worshiped. Wolfe shared a specific story a man was caring a
chain around his neck representing India's religion. After he came to
know Christ, he violently snapped it out of his neck, threw it away and
acknowledged God by bowing down. Incredible! Let me tell you, I walked with a smile on my face and a
peace in my heart recognizing that God is at WORK among this world both
the cultures, religions, nations, people. Dr. Thom Wolfe pointed out that all of History began with God, all of
history narrows down to Jesus Christ, and all history will flow from
Jesus. It made me realized what I should be doing during my time here on earth. I remember Dr. Wolfe quote in, 1 Corinthians 6: 1-2 that "'In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.' I tell you,
now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation"
A side from that, I've also attended the Healing and
Restoration Workshops, Emerging Markets, and Islam & Christianity.
Of all the 3 workshops I attended, Islam and Christianity stood out to
me the most. It was lead by a man Salem, who was born and raised
Muslim, but later became Christian during college. He shared in ways to
reach out to Muslims, but most of the time he just shared his
testimony. It was so amazing how this man became Christian and how God
is using him. He emphasized that we need to get rid of the mentality
that Muslims are hard and impossible to be reached. Furthermore we need
to stop seeing Muslims as our enemy, but as the Harvest and as God's
children. He also shared what to say and not to say when sharing the
gospel to them like don't mention to a Muslim that they are a sinner or
bad, because they never consider themselves as bad people in the first
place. Next, he
emphasized that oftentimes that we focused on sharing about Jesus
Christ first, but we need to go back and emphasized how God once had
this relationship with His children, but because of Adam and Eve
sinned,
we were considered dead in God's sight. However, Jesus came down to
earth and became sin
so that we can be considered righteous and holy in God's eyes, and
through Christ we can have this relationship with God. He then
gave a mind blowing practical way of sharing the gospel. For example,
he held a $20 bill in his hand and asked if anyone wants it, obviously
everyone raised their hands. Then he told the audience to wait, and
started crushing it with his bare hands. He then asked if anyone wants
it now, half of the audience raised their hands. Finally, he spat on
the
bill and stomped on it. He then asked, "who wants it now?" He then
asked a follow up question, "how much is this worth?". Obviously it's
still $20 bill. It's like how God sees us, no matter how much sin or
dirt we put
in our lives, God still values us and that our worth in His eyes is
still the
same. WHAT AN AMAZING GOD! I can go on forever about WCC, but I am going to stopy here. Obviously I learned a lot
from this conference and what I've mentioned above is just a fringe of
what I've learned. However, if any of you are interested in hearing more stories, let me know!
